Management is ****ed at the pilot group, pilot moral is low, abuse on the road is high, work rules are non existent. It's ok though, only 8 more years right?
Jetlife.....this is simply not true.....
.....the guys I flew with in the past few month had anything but low moral
.....abuse on the road is high......I have no clue what you are trying to say with this.....total BS....
......work rules are non existent????? What the hell are you talking about??? If that´s the case, you should have a hotline to the SOD
Your postings are self centered and very emotional because you
didn´t get what some dude told you in 2014. Did you really believe that you would make $120.000 as a Phenom SIC in 2016? Really?
I don´t know man, someone really pulled your leg.
"Others don't get the cream work week you do." did you even bid for it? The window is open, go for it.
"If you choose to ignore the reality and make your own, then of course you wouldn't understand what I'm saying.
I am just ignoring your reality Jetlife.....I don´t believe in alternate facts that you put out in these forums.
But hey, now it´s over for you...really, and I mean that....congrats on your job at the Major

Your question is a great one.
Airspeed indicator or airspeed trend arrow?
Depends on whether airlines are hiring or furloughing.

It's coming.
Count on it.
300-400 immediate move up and hiring to follow.

I have a class date next month with a major. I'm gone. A dozen others have interviews and will be gone. One guy in my NJA new hire class just left. None of us are coming back. So your hopeful assumptions are dead wrong, much like your ability to empathize with anyone else's situation.
I came to NetJets because the forums, pilots I talked to in person, and the setiment when I (and the rest of my interview group for that matter) was that it was a great time to possibly get on. Post furlough, new contact will be amazing etc etc etc. It was a high risk move that I would have hoped to pay off. All you have to do is ask 10 new hires and 8 of them won't have very favorable things to say. Are you ignoring the feelings the majority of new hires have? It's easy to say majority, that's not a sweeping statement. Some of us took pay cuts to come here, some left really crappy jobs, some were unemployed. Most are now under the assumption that they will probably leave. Captains are leaving to be FOs.
The contract fell short for most, but 3 out of 4 pilots chose to end the turmoil rather than actually get a half way decent contract. And we are seeing the real life effects of this contract playing out now, and there's nothing we can do about it because the ink is dry. Management is ****ed at the pilot group, pilot moral is low, abuse on the road is high, work rules are non existent. It's ok though, only 8 more years right?
Glad you are living the dream. Enjoy it. Others don't get the cream work week you do. The simple fact that it varies on such a large spectrum is because of a lack of contract language.
Of course NetJets works. It works for everyone. You're home based and you get free healthcare. For those that can settle with the staggeringly large pay and retirement difference by staying at NetJets for a career versus an airline, having seniority so basically nothing for you until you reach the 15 year mark, having little QOL on the road, and resign to the fact that things move so slow here that if they were to furlough 200 pilots today that would put 2007 hires on the street. I'm not making generalizations, I just happen to be a new hire who keeps in touch with new hires.

Jetlife,
I hope you stay in touch.
Best of luck at the new gig! I knew it was coming.
Fwiw, your peer group leaving is spurring much conversation at higher levels regarding pay increases for F/Os outside of Section 6.... reportedly... the numbers will speak for themselves.
Fleet modernization will conclude. Hiring will increase. Upgrades will come. NetJets will continue on.
Be well.

Play nice guys, by retirements alone the airlines will be hiring for years, and that is a very good thing for everybody, and Gods grace our little corner of the business is doing well, and will continue to do so,cheers , good wishes to all.
