Happy Labor Day!
In keeping with our mission to enhance our Owners experience we recognize that it all begins with hiring the right individuals; those who embody our service philosophy. From our CEO’s perspective, The NetJets Pilot is one of the most important roles in the organization when it comes to dealing directly with and understanding the company through the eyes of the Owner.
When you interviewed onsite, the EVP, Flight Operations, Alan Bobo was very willing but not able to meet with you. He would like to take that opportunity now and asked our team to schedule a 30 minute Skype meeting for him and our EVP Human Resources, Mindy Drummond. We think this is a great opportunity for you to ask questions and understand the commitment we have to bringing on the best to enhance the life of each of our Owners, one exceptional travel experience at a time.
Please respond to this email with your Skype Name, Email Address associated with Skype, and best availability on the following dates (afternoon times):
9/19 & 9/20; 10/12 & 10/24; 11/2.
Have a great Holiday Weekend and please be safe!
Sincerely,
The Talent Acquisition Team

This has to be one of the dumbest moves that management could pull on people that are in the pool. Make everyone take time out of their day AGAIN so Alan can feel important. Good on folks that told him to suck it.

Yes this is embarrassing. I hope they all declined the offer. Even my wife is on board for me going to a regional with a flow agreement. NJA works for some but I'm not so sure about me anymore

Did my phone interview nearly 3 weeks ago. Haven't heard a peep since. Kinda odd since she told me that it would probably be within the week they'd schedule the skype interview - at which point i planned to decline the job and further interviews.

It was only great place to go during that time because they were the only ones hiring. It was refuge for furloughed airline pilots and NetJets was already in desperation mode trying to hire every warm body they could, that’s why hundreds of pilots were upgraded to captain during their new hire indoc or shortly after. When the airlines look good NetJets has never come close.
I guarantee you that if upgrades were at 15 years back then, none of the cheerleaders would have stuck around.

As mentioned before with the pilot shortage at the airlines, you are better off going to a regional airline. Upgrade to captain is faster and the experienced gained will benefit your career. Flow through is not bad either.
This is something that NJA can't offer except for being a flying butler.

Any new hires will have difficulty upgrading EVER. Two reasons:
1: The company has NO plans to grow. In fact they continue to discuss shrinking the fleet. All these shiny new planes are just replacemts (gain one, lose one).
2. And as everyone knows, there is no retirement age in this industry. Sadly, NJ just had a 75 year old guy pass away. There are two pilots who are 79 on the seniority list. The baby boomers only "retire" via loss of medical or death.
Long story short, if you want to work at NJ, do it for better quality of life if you are already a 91/135 pilot and look long and hard at the FO pay, because that's it. Our otherwise the regional to major career path has never looked better. Cheers.

But the pay is pretty god and the health plan is 100% paid by the company....only the $20 deductibles for visits are paid by you, and that's pretty darn good.
So in a nutshell: if you are fine with being a career FO, working long and resting short, and need a good medical plan, give it a try.
