Sorry about that I missed spoke, I should have said the Global Express. However, I hear that most of the new hires will be going to the Latitude. Do you know if being typed already in a aircraft that Nja currently operates plays a factor??

You will be put in the Phenom or XL most likely. The chances of you get anything else is very unlikely. You won’t see any large cabin aircraft as a new hire, and probably won’t until long after your seat lock is up. I would be very surprised to see new hires pit in the Lat, as that would **** a bunch of people off.
I mean you might get the Latitude but highly doubtful.

Having a type rating in a NJA aircraft has not seemed to make a bit of difference in the past. I don't think it helps you get hired and if hired, it doesn't seem that they will even put you in the airplane you are typed in. You will have to go through initial type training anyways so it is easier for them to put you where they need you.
I'm curious, what is your reason for wanting to come to NJA? I've been here 12 years and am breaking my neck trying to get the hell out of this gong show!

Everything is based on seniority. As a new hire you will probably be placed into the phenom, XL/XLS, or the sovereign.

The other two have covered your Lattitude question pretty thoroughly. You will never see the Global Express as a new hire, in fact it is taking over 11 years on the property to hold the right seat of the Global in a bid so that should give you a rough timeline.

I'm searching for a better quality of life. Love flying but hate been away from home for so many days. Having a schedule as the majors is great except that I will not be able to hold weekends off for at least two to three years. NJA 7 days on 7 days on schedule I can handle. It's more manageable.

You’re not getting weekends off at netJets either. You might get every other depending on the 7/7 line you hold. I miss the predictability of knowing when I’m working and knowing when I’m off on the 7/7 but my airline schedule gives me just as many weekends off, and more days off per month. Just keep in mind that you won’t have a schedule that gets you all weekends off at NetJets.

If you don't mind me asking, which airline are you currently working for? Also it seems that you have worked for NJA in the past, how long were you there?
