Anyone care to share some actual numbers? I try not to work much at my regional CA gig and after deductions my W2 was around $68k.

Are aircraft assignments randomly given out or based on either age, s.s. #, gateway airport, etc...?
What hotel do you stay at for indoc?
Thanks

Not quite sure how to address this... What are your goals? You can easily make 68k a year and more your first year. Will you work more than you do now? Yes. Will you be an FO? Yes. Will you have to do more work? Yes. I am not sure I would advise you to move unless you were looking for a major change.

Staybridge for indoc. It seems that the aircraft were randomly assigned. We did not get to pick which fleet we went into based on seniority. There were a couple of guys that had good internal recs and or family members that work at NJA so they were offered the X/CE680 without necessarily aligning with seniority.

Here are the payscales. You will be on year 1, 18 day pay during training and can pretty much stay on that if you want or go to 7/7. Take that number and multiply it by 1.1 then depending on your tax exemptions and state you reside in and 401k deduction multiply by .7 maybe ???? then take that number and divide it by 26 paychecks a year and you will get your average take home per paycheck. Perdiem will be added to your check as well at 1.70 per hr while on duty. Make of that what you will.

As Jetlife said NJ is a lot more work compared to most regional CA gigs even though you fly way less hours. The tours are much longer than most regional guys are use to and probably more days a month than regional schedules. It really is a very different job. Also in case it matters upgrades are probably 7 years plus unless something drastic happens.

Hi all

do I need a personal I-pad or can we use the company I-pad enough for normal private use during the time off?
i.e. Facetime, Netflix, Facebook etc?

You can use the company ipad for FaceTime but that's it out of those you listed. I am sure web browsing is ok, just use common sense as it is monitored.

I would recommend getting/bringing your own. Guys have been busted doing things they shouldn't so I am told. I'm sure I don't have to elaborate on that lol...
