Can someone share what Aetna insurance packages are offered? Also do they provide family plans or is it just individual?

So you don't even have to pay the deductible? You just pay co pay per visit?
Do you know the name of the Aetna plan?

Medical insurance is through Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield. No monthly employee contributions, you pay co-pays and deductibles. There are two plans, in-network and out of network. Out of network has higher deductables.

Dental in through Aetna, 2 cleanings per year and $1500 of work covered per year. No monthly employee contributions, you pay co-pays and deductibles.

Vision is through VSP. Not a great plan but it is comparable. No monthly employee contributions, you pay co-pays and deductibles

All of this and other options for the employee and their families start on day one.

Please don't take this as me picking on you. Our insurance is not free. Dont get me wrong, it is a good plan that most people would love to have. While we don't have a monthly contribution, we do pay co-pays and deductibles. What we don't pay in monthly contributions we pay for in other ways.

You are correct. It is part of our overall compensation package. That being said prior to my recall I was paying 600 a month in premiums and 20 percent. I spent 10k having a baby with my old employer but at Netjets less than 300 bucks. Something to consider.

When you have fought this EMT for years you will understand that nothing is free. Everything is earned through negotiations, grievances, and arbitrations.

It is going to be a hard fight just to keep the medical coverage we have now, under the new CBA. It is pretty darn good, but I wouldn't expect it to get any better...
