In captain training now with 3M. Everything has been great, really no left overs (except pilots and they all seem to be good guys) from GIA days. Very professional with A LOT of growth potential and expectations. Awesome accomadations for training (your own suite less than a mile from the training building). Etc etc...:D

What kind of experience does the direct entry captain guys have?

Is there still a training agreement/bond?

How soon after the interview is one contacted with "Yes" or "No"?
What are competitive times for Street Captain?
I've got just under 1600 with 250 multi, 650 turbine, 340 TPIC, 1100 PIC.
I applied for FO, but was told I qualify for PIC. Not sure what to consider.

WOW another Saab new hire class when they haven't got the people here in any kind of class I am glad to see you guys get hired but looking at it, you tend to be helping the company violate the contract which would make the new hire saab guys scabs in a way.

Um no, no it would not. Theres plenty of airlines who have different fleet types, who put new hires in different types to meet the companies needs. There's always a loop hole and forsome reason I suspect your contract has a good sized one.

IF (keyword "if") they pay us Saab pay, there is no violation of the contract... that being said, as of June 4th, the first day a training junior pilot got Saab pay, we should be getting Saab pay...and scabs? I wasn't aware we were on strike...

My worry is staffing on the 1900. We are very shorthanded in the NE. No one is being trained in the 1900, and we have pilots from up here going to FL or headed to the Saab. Who the hell is going to fly these routes?

I'm glad guys are getting jobs that would otherwise be on the streets, but I agree with Nancy. Companies gotta take care of the people they already have, and not getting as much pay as new hires and being told that we dont have the seniority to hold saab, but the new hires do isn't helping things.

What's the word on transition classes?

I couldn't agree more. But if they pay us the same, it'll shut up a lot of people for a little while... Even a systemwide staffing bid wont help us, because they will fill vacancies with the new Saab guys and tell us we wont hold it like you said. The only thing the staffing bid will accomplish is remove this imaginary "seat lock." And last I heard, transitions were doing training with the new hires (minus basic indoc of course).
