Just a FYI:
Was just curious about their training contract, and if they have one. Was going to apply for their HOU PIC position.
Per their HR,”There is a one year 25k training contract required.”
Thanks, but no thanks. A PC12 does not require a type rating. I can understand system training, etc. is required, but I cannot see how a $25k contract is required. I flew for a 135 on a twin-turbine last year and they did not require a training contract. My citation type rating did not even costs $20k

Remember, company also pays per diems, hotels, flights to DFW, 2 weeks of ground school (with hotels) and so on. That price is not far off from true cost. It's not punitive at all.

Planesense charged half that for the same thing. Just saying. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

"pseudo type ride" does not cost 24k. 20 hours in a sim, 2 weeks (full pay starting day 1) in ground school, hotels, per diems + overnight per diems, they likely cost more than 24k. The sim alone is almost $1000/hour.
It is not unnecessarily high, and by the time you sign it, you already know if the company is suitable for you or not.
Can't stress this enough - the contract kicks in at PIC upgrade. By then you, and the company, will know if you are a good match. Until upgrade, it is at-will employment with no contractual obligation.
I've enjoyed my time here. Great company, great people.
