Oh by the way they are offering a $3000 dollar sign on bonus. Half when you get hired and half when you pass your checkride at 1200 hours.
You get $3000 if you come to class with PIC mins.. if you have less than 1200 hours and don't meet PIC mins you only get $1500.

There is also a bonus if you upgrade to the Learjet of $5000, but there are a few stipulations.

Training Pay:

Trainees receive a check for $500.00 at the beginning of training, another check for $500.00 two weeks later. Upon successful completion of the initial checkride, pilots receive a sign-on bonus and go to the appropriate full-time pay scale. Benefits occur within 30 days or less after successful completion of the initial checkride.

Pay Scale:

Prop SIC salary is now 16K minimum, average is 22K. (For pilots with less than 1200 hours in the paid time-building program)

$1500.00 SIGN-ON Bonus upon successful completion of the initial prop SIC checkride.

Prop PIC salary is now 28K minimum, average is 39K.

$3000.00 SIGN-ON Bonus upon successful completion of the initial prop PIC checkride.

Lear F/O salary is now 38K minimum, average is 44K.

$5000.00 SIGN-ON Bonus upon successful completion of the initial Jet SIC checkride.

Note: Requires additional 12 month commitment.

Lear PIC salary is now 49K minimum, average is 55K.

$5000.00 SIGN-ON Bonus upon successful completion of the initial Jet PIC checkride.

Note: Requires additional 12 month commitment.

Wow, that's impressive from just 2 years ago, the 22k was base salary for props when I interviewed. Says somewhat how much they are hurting to get/keep people, but then again it's nice to be paid your worth, especially those of us who have flown freight.

I agree...its a good gig if you don't mind flying a Baron for 12 months.

Anyone know what Airnet is flying out of Indianapolis and if it's possible to get based there as a new hire?

I know there's a few barons that sit there at Signature as far as based aircraft. There's a slew of planes that come in through the night though. I always liked being #2 behine the lear as it departed to watch it climb-out.

As far as being a new-hire base, it's all about chances at this company, good luck though. Although, if you're just looking for a company that's Indiana based, there's my former employer out of PLD who's always looking for guys. After you complete your check-ride it's $27k, plus 6-month raises that are very very nice. Only Aflac supplemental for benefits though, but it's not really a place you hang around after your year unless you were in my situation where it was home for me. I actually got a job at another place w/o even a thought about my experience because they knew the flying I did at this place. The flying is pretty much Freight, but they do also do Pax op's, so it's different. PM me if you are interested, I can steer you to the right people.

Now most of us in the last year that left that job went to Part 91 and other part 135 jobs. Myself I now work for a Piper/TBM dealer(and its' sweet). My other friends jumped up from C310's to King-Airs, Hawkers, Lears, and Citation job's, both 91 and 135 operators.

As far as the experience you get and where it can get you, I guarantee there's probably not a more instrument proficient pilot out there than those of us who have flown night-freight. The skills are generally respected across the industry minus a few snob's who just don't get it.

Good Luck, Airnet wasn't for me at the time**, but I know there's several people where this company can really mix well with you.

**Yes I did interview, and no I didn't get an offer....let's just say Craig Washka didn't like the fact I wasn't going to bend over for the holier-than-thou mindset he had. I did work in a parallel company, and was home based, so it all worked out in the end, and I hold no grudges, actually have friends at Airnet currently too. Btw, is he still there???
I really don't like that guy!
