There's one a ARR. Don't remember the name though.

Air Ambulance is great for time building, if you find the right company. I log about 90 hours on a slow month.

It is about what QOL you want. Want to be home more, make a little less? Go to an outfit that comes home almost every night. Want to build time, make good money, and upgrade quickly? Go to a busy operator. You may be gone 4/5 nights a week on busy months, but will get home most nights when it's slow (Summer).

Default Summit

Can anyone provide me with information on Summit Air Ambulance out of Id. They have recently been acquired by Reach Med. I am very interested in seeking employment with them (fixed wing) due to their current bases and schedule. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help. Looking for specifically pay and company moral.

I wouldn't say EMS is good at time building, and if I were interviewing someone and the words "time" and "building" came out of their mouth in the same sentence I'm not sure I would like it.

At my company the mins are 2500TT, 1000PIC, 300 turbine. Pay starts at 63k/yr for a 7 on 7 off schedule. Fleet is mostly Pilatus PC-12s with a few King Air 200s mixed in. About half the bases have some kind of hard-to-fill stipend or off-duty housing. I made over 90k last year but I only logged like 400 hours of flight time, so I wouldn't say it is good for time building (especially considering the SE time.)

"This time, I'm going to live in the building at the airport so I can be there for the company all day and night."

I flew about 1/4 of that.

I guess every company varies. We fly Lear 35's. I fly about 80 hrs on a slow month. I've logged 400 hrs in the Lear in 6 months.

We work 8 days on and 6 days off. With a 2 hour call out. Schedule during days on varies greatly. Last week I was gone for 7 days straight and the week before I came home all but 1 night.

My company gives us a salary plus flight time pay. Guaranteed increases of salary and flight time pay each year for 3 years. A first year FO makes about $43-45k. A first year captain makes about 60k/yr.
