I heard they just bought a few new Caravans. Any truth to that?

How long are the average upgrades from Otter SIC to PIC? And if you start in the Caravan can you move into SIC in the Otter if you want to?

If given the option who thinks it would be a better choice to go for the Caravan PIC over the Twin Otter SIC??

They do operate caravans. Only a one out BVU, and I believe the rest are out of GCN or Page. I am aware of one guy who was with the company started on the Caravan and recently transferred over to the right seat of the Otter.

To me the Mulit SIC seems more valuble. Atleast at the moment for me. Plus the crew environment I think is good experience for any future oppurtunities.

Are they going to be hiring anytime soon? What the best avenue to get an interview?

I heard that hiring for the season happen around winter time. Are they expecting to do any hiring for the 2013 season? If so, when do new hires typically report to start training?

I have heard that in the past a few hundred TT and 20-30 ME can get you the SIC job. If hiring occurs do you think this will still be the case? I'm thinking mins might be inflated right now because of high time CFIs needing XC for ATP, but at the same time the pay isn't stellar and not everyone is willing/able to relocate to BVU or GCN.

Thanks in advance for any info.

The latest news i heard is plan on February for any guys coming back as well as filling any new positions that they might need.

Your right about the time. mutli instrument and your pretty mcuh good.

Pay by the duty hour but still probably not live the most glamorous lifestyle. But hey most pilots dont right. haha

So I guess I'll wait until they have a job listing, then apply and see what happens. You say reporting for training happens in February?

By 1 Jan 2013 I'm expecting to have at least 450TT and 10-15 ME.

The SIC isn't worth anything unless it's moving you into a PIC position. You're better off with PIC experience.

I would get an app in asap.

May not be PIC time, but could probably get atleast 500 hrs in a year. Its total, turbine, as well Pt 135 crew time. Good for the "low timers" i guess.
