Agreed. Most of the places that Ive heard of that "we dont hire 121 guys" are complete disasters, and nowhere that you would EVER want to work.

Bingo! These are the kind of places that are looking for "team players", a euphemism for pilots willing to go below minimums, overfly maintenance intervals, accept pencil-whipped write ups, ignore CRM, and to "take one for the team because I have a wife and baby to feed". These 91 companies are no better at their hearts than scumbag Part 135 operators, except that they fly a nicer, shinier jet. However, I have heard of these type of companies liking Part 121 pilots: Many of these type of corporations loved to take Eastern Air Lines Scabs because they did what they were told, were happy for a job, and they would never leave because no one else would hire them. Hopefully, when this group of pilots medical out, this sector of flying will clean up it's act and realize the benefits of hiring 121 pilots.

We're definitely pinching pennies. Several departments are understaffed yet being scolded for putting in overtime. How dare you show up to work early....

It would have been so much cheaper to do it right the first time.

It's not a good idea until it's their idea.
