Has anyone spoken to or accepted a position with Avenge in the past 30 days or so? If so, what information have you been given about pay, benefits, rotations, ect?

I have a phone interview with HR for a SIC position today. Will update what I can after it.

Basically, this is what I got out of it:

I'm now being considered for PIC, as they view "Sole Manipulator" and PIC hours, vice "Aircraft Commander".

Pay works out to about $460/day OCONUS for a 300/350 SIC and $36/hr INCONUS. SIC is 2/3 of that amount more or less.

One year payback for initial training, defined as one calendar year and 180 days OCONUS on 3 60 day rotations. Schedule expectation is 60 on 60 off, give or take a few days. Transit to and from theater is on you "off" days, but paid. Recurrent training needed annually invokes a 6mo/100 day OCONUS payback.

No pay, no benefits when off. No insurance whatsoever. They are exempt from ACA, so if you want health insurance, you are paying the whole bill out of your pocket. That may be the show stopper for me, unless I go back to SELRES and get on Tricare Reserve Select again.

That's what I know. If anyone has specific questions, ask or PM me.

Thanks for the info.

For a guy in your situation, it may just mean sucking it up for a year to get current. I hate the training bond thing, though. That is a deal breaker for me. I would rather just work a pedestrian job.

Great info E2C. I applied a week ago with no response yet. Looks like they lowered their pay.

$460 a day for SIC? Did I read that correctly?
