250 PIC, or 250TT?

All his 141 flying is dual received.

Hi all, I’m a United pilot. I’m quite familiar with your operation. Had a friend who was a captain for you leave a few months ago for a Regional.

Have another friend I’m trying help out. What are competitive hours for a FO? Are you currently hiring FO’s?

Thanks in advance.

Competitive hours for FO's are about 250TT but some are getting hired around low 200's if they already have their commercial through a part 141 program. A class went through last month and one is scheduled this month, so they are still hiring. Even though FO's may not be listed on the open positions page, it wouldn't hurt to send in the resume anyway. Best of luck.

Thanks so much for your reply. My friend has almost 1,000 hours. Since he is so close to the 1,200 required for upgrade do you think that will help his chances getting on?

Having close to 1200 hrs would definitely help him get hired. They're always looking for captains and captains are compensated fairly well and likewise do a lot of flying each month.

I don't see a profile on APC for this outfit. Am I missing it somehow or do they not have one for some reason?

Default New Service from PIT to AVP

Southern is going to start non EAS service to AVP from PIT on September 5th.

Flying time is 100 minutes on the single engine ice proned Grand Caravans.

Wonder how long that will last. Sky Regional is vacating the service as they could not make a go of it with Piper Navajos.

I have a question. My son was just hired by Southern Airways Express and he is in Training at Wichita, KS now. They have been telling him that they would work with him on letting him be based where he wants. I know that they cannot always do this but he moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas and was hoping to be based there or Harrison, or ElDorado Arkansas. They just told him that he will be based in Franklin, Pennsylvania. He is young and only 21 and they are not really communicating with him on letting him know how many other applicants that want these bases. He has emailed the schedulers and has heard nothing. He know this is the Pilots' life of not being based where you want to but we don't understand lack of communication. Do you have any information about this?
