The Denver FO schedule in March is almost entirely 4 on, 3 off. Captains not so much. I think the 4/3 is more of a goal than a myth, and who knows if we'll ever get there. I do believe that they're trying though.

I take it DEN is a little short on Captains at the moment?

Yeah, pretty much always.

Is the hiring process for other positions also long waiting game? I ask because I wanted to get my foot in the door with Boutique while I work on my ratings so I applied for a Ramper position in DEN via the website. That was a few weeks ago.

Default HR Interview...

Scheduled the HR interview. Sat by the phone and no phone call came. Guess I will schedule again. This seems to be the norm.

I'm on my third straight full day off in PDX, and don't go into work tomorrow until the afternoon. That's how most of February was for me, with a bit of reserve sprinkled around. The tradeoff for the cushy schedule is that we don't fly much here, so you're gonna be bummed out if you're trying to build time to go somewhere else. March is looking a bit more like a 5 and 2 right now, but the schedule gets changed a lot so we'll see.

We're in our own little world in Portland, though, so I can't really speak for the other bases needing captains.

I think I got pretty lucky with mine, but it does appear to be the norm.

Got a phone call from Monique to schedule an interview with her, set it up online for a few days afterward. HR interview was right around the time we had scheduled, then she told me to expect up to a month for the technical, and to call her if I didn't hear anything. Almost a full month later I had my technical, then a class date offer the very next day. Maybe I was lucky.
