what's not to love with 12 days off, min pay credit, when sister companies consistently crediting higher time and more time off. 4 day trips, 3 legs 1st day, 2 legs day 2 and 3, and 3 legs on day 4 is the norm 3 and 4 hour sits at the airport. no pilot shortage at piedmont, short on people that can manage the manpower properly.

YMMV

I’ve worked 12 days since the beginning of November for Piedmont. Could easily credit 90+ hours in the 2 months if I didn’t value my hard days off as much as I do.

90% of the people I hear that complain about our schedules are commuters.

Its an awful schedule living in base, too.

easy to do when you sit reserve, don't get used and then work on days off. The lines we are given to bid are complete crap especially for Jan. Bid an actual line if you are senior eniugh and you will not say the same thing.if you value your days off.
now be honest and tell how many days you have been on the hook and attached to the phone waiting for that call out to get to that 90+ hours a month.

You’re right, our lines (especially in January) aren’t awesome. But the reality is by the time you’re able to hold a line and actually benefit from more credit and more days off at the other AA WO, you’re either upgrading or about to flow. So saying they get it and we don’t is misleading for the majority of pilots.

I could hold a line but choose not to, I get every weekend off and every day sitting reserve and not getting called is an extra day off.

Maybe Piedmont will get more flying from AA and that luxury will cease but for now, that’s what I get to enjoy.

The Stockholm syndrome is real. Piedmont schedules are awful, even in base.

Had a PSA FO in the jump say he had 14 days off crediting 87 hours with just one year on property. 14 days off here you won’t even break 70. Crediting 90 here I had to get down to about 8 scheduled days off, it was really good for a while here if you were willing to work extra. Now, not so much due to terrible line quality and being insanely over staffed on the FO side…no open time to pick up. What you’re saying isn’t even true on the captain side, bottom line is it kind of sucks to get 11 days off and credit 76 hours with our lines.

Sorry if highjacking the intent of this thread, but any idea on roughly how long a DEC would sit reserve? I understand bid lines and seniority list is rather dynamic coupled with FO upgrades, but any recent estimate based on what current Piedmont folks might be seeing? Asking for a friend
