A video was released by ALPA National last week that drives home the message that the industry has a “pay shortage, not a pilot shortage”. You can view it here, and I encourage us all to watch it. The MEC believes it does not make sense to advocate and support an agreement that validates poor compensation by locking in an agreement for 10 years with no method of improving it.
What does this mean for us? AAG has indicated that PDT’s new agreement provides another avenue to operate the EMB 175s within the wholly owned family at a lower compensation model. We fully expect an announcement that AAG will commit those 175’s to Piedmont. Coupled with the announced movement of our CRJs to PSA, it’s easy to form a clear picture of AAG’s plans for our carrier. We haven’t been notified of displacements or downgrades as of yet, but we will advise you when we have.
This is a very stressful time for our group. Please maintain the level of professionalism we are known for as we transition to this new reality.
Fly Safe.

Wow, just wow billyho. Only you would post a letter that blatantly states that PDT and PSA voted for lower jet pay scales and are ultimately going to cost Envoy pilots their jobs, yet what you post it for is to prove the point to buddies8 that PDT is getting 175's. Stay classy my friend and enjoy your flow at others expense.

The announcement is forthcoming...no one is throwing a party so relax. The jets arriving just mean the less attractive parts of our agreement will take effect. We would rather just flow, and you all can have a steel cage death match over the planes. This is business, however, and unfortunately we are just a more reasonable deal. We were able to compromise, Envoy was not. It is what it is...

You guys just don't get it do you. You think the rest of us want to fight for the jets? WE ARE FIGHTING FOR FAIR WAGES TO FLY THOSE JETS......
You guys cut us off at the knees because the jet rates you set ( while an increase for you) are lower that what they should be, this was the only time in history we had a real chance of getting them back inline where they should be. YOU GUYS AGREED TO RATES FOR THE 175 that are less than what Envoy and Republic voted NO on. You bash RAH because our rates are the lowest right now, but they are 2007 50 seat rates, and we had a real chance to fix them till you came along and set the rate for everyone. YOU SOLD others out FOR YOUR FLOW AGREEMENT. That is why everyone is ticked off right know.
IT IS WHAT IT IS" as an excuse doesn't cut it.

First off I posted the letter to show that there is a really good chance that an announcement will be made that Piedmont will be getting 175's. Only did because a bunch of people are laughing that we probably won't be getting any. But like was stated before is the fact Piedmont Pilots could care 2 sh$ts less about the 175's. As being the smallest of the 3 Wo'ed and with the future of our planes timing out we are just glad to survive!!!

And go back to any of my post and show where any of the Piedmont guys have EVER bashed Republic about there pay rates. I know I didn't. We bash you because of your work rules. You sir are making yourself look like an idiot every time you post. AAG would pay us 130.00 an hour if they gave us your work rules.

No thanks!! And with our solid Work Rules and Insurance cost you guys would've easily voted this in. Good Luck on your contract. You guys are the biggest operator of E-Jets and to work under those rules is sad. You guys deserve a contract like ours.

Good Day and Good Luck.

Ok fine. Well, sometimes "life isn't fair." I don't need an excuse, people are only sympathetic to a point. I don't want to work for your carrier or any regional longer than I have to. Second, I don't care what your rates are, if I think tHe rates are fair,
then it's my right to agree and I do.

We voted to keep our jobs. Simple as that. You might disagree. Honestly I don't really care what you think unless you are a fellow Piedmont pilot.

Exactly! Nobody cared about lowing the bar when we held it up for years flying 37 seat Turbo Props for almost 50 seat rates and much better work rules. Now all the sudden people are worried about us. Seem like ALPA wasn't worried about us when all the RJ's were blasting up all over the place and we were told our cost were too high for RJ's. Hate to say it but it was time for Piedmont Pilots to start worring about ourselves and let someone else that has some significants fall on the sword. We would have just been swept under the rug and nobody would've remember us.

So you believe the lowest rates offered for 175 flying are acceptable. Got it!

Did you think working at a company with the worst work rules in the industry was acceptable??? Got it!!

Like I said before the only people that has a beef and should is Envoy. Republic people can go crawl in a hole and watch. You guys all knew what the hell you were getting into when you went there.

Get over yourself and move along. Nothing for you to see here. Just ask for our working contract when you get a TA and you'll be A- Okay!
