Sorry to distract from the jet/prop argument... but I checked APC to check out Colgan and found this...

Saab can do 250 unitl 3 out, well some of them can.... Most dowtys yes, ANY ham stands NO!

180 knots till a 3-mile final? Haha. We take the Dash to a 2-mile final at 180 all the time. Not a problem. That's the difference. With a Dash, you have to actually "fly" it. In CLT for example, at 9000' abeam the numbers you're cleared for the visual. You can make your standard 45deg downwind to base turn and hit the numbers if you know what you're doing. That's what the Dash'll do.

oh man, i did a charlotte slam dunk yesterday, nose pitched 15 down gear and flaps out, props max power out, to catch the glideslope, its amazing it will hold 120 running down hill like that. and nobody was lined up on 36R to watch...
