To those two resources I would add "Everything Explained." As a matter of fact I'd suggest reading that first, then referring to those other resources.

I just did the interview a few weeks ago. They have reintroduced a technical portion but it's mainly just reading Jeppensen charts not a whole lot of specific questions. I didn't have any fixed wing specific questions.

With shorter reserve times, even at TYS, do you think it a wise choice for me as newbie to go to TYS ( since I live 20 miles away and no commute) as FO , relatively short reserve like other bases, but then once i hace R-1, at some point move to another base like CLT to upgrade to CA... Is there any downside to this or just be patient in Knoxville, maybe CA upgrade time will decrease some too

I think if you live in TYS and are about to be a new FO, stay in TYS. When it comes close to upgrade you'll have a much better understanding of all that's involved and be able to make the best decision for yourself. You're going to learn a lot in your first year on property, much more so than just how to fly the airplane.

or PHL, or DCA. Could be a DH to any of those as well, especially if you're on reserve.

Everything Explained is a great book, but expensive. The others are free.

I have EEPP on my personal and company iPad. It is a great resource, but it is very abbreviated. Just facts with no fluff. Sometimes, when you learn something, the fluff is helpful. Then, review from EEPP

on reserve, you get whatever is left over. But you won't be on reserve for very long, so really it shouldn't matter very much.
