You say it like you left solely out of morality. I assure you Menke was not sobbing in his mansion when you left and Parker isnt cartwheeling with joy because he got this guy to agree to psa pay and work rules. You left because you wanted some sort of job security and better qol which is the exact same thing this dude is looking for. Get over yourself and skywest, I'm gonna bet given the number of 200s skywest has you'll probably find yourself in the same position for a second time. Whatre you gonna do then, go to the next hot regional to be at and take first year pay for a third time so you can continue to talk down to your peers and give more of your useless input? GMAFB

Just trying to do my part to reverse/not contribute to the Regionals' "race to the bottom". In a regional industry where pilots should stick together, I think the PSA pilots selling out their peers/knowingly benefiting at the expense of others is selfish (knowing full well what their actions would do to other regionals- example. all regional mgmt now saying "we now have to be competitive with Pinnacle")

I really do not get it... Maybe I am too new to this industry but to me we do have leverage these days. It seems to me regionals are not able to fill classes, salaries are poverty levels and we are still accepting concessions? I really don't get it! I guess one thing that is missing is union and solidarity. No 121 pilot should start below 40k.

Equally smart. Unfortunately, there are too many people consumed by ignorance, selfishness, and greed in this industry. They have become the majority. It's the same path our entire country is headed down. Its sad that this is happening to a large group of educated professionals, but I suppose this is a perfect example that college doesn't teach ethics, integrity, or common sense. I wish they would take the "of good moral character" out of the ATP requirements, because it certainly is not being enforced. Alright, I'm off my soapbox.

In the mean time, I will just keep watching and fly the last remaining hours to 1500 for the ATP. If things do not change, there is no way I am taking an 80% pay cut switching from an engineering career just for the love of flying.
