This is nothing new, guys. Every few summers when the writing gets splattered all over the wall that there is going to be a staffing problem (heck there always is here, this is just a realy BAD one), they engage in one of these chest pounding campaigns to try and intimidate us into working sick and try to lead us to believe it will be detrimental to us and our careers if they put a computer generated form letter in our files (from the CP's mouth, "I've never personally written one of those") They really haven't got a leg to stand on and it's quite after the fact to demand a doctor's note for a past illness. What are you supposed to do? Waltz into the doctor and tell him or her that you'll lose your job if he or she doesn't write you a note saying you weren't fit for duty in August of 2010? No sale, dude.

In the meanwhile, we can all enjoy the junior man pay and 30/7. It's gonna be back to the scheduling baby games of calling everyone at 4am for modifications 3 days from now that probably wont work out and dickscratch witholding releases until we accept arbitrary extensions and all of that fun stuff. If you're tired, go home. If you're sick, go home. Just remember, they will throw you straight under the bus as soon as some blame needs passed around so don't buy into their tactics!

One word of caution to those who haven't been through it here before: This is the situation where I've most often seen certain schedulers "accidentally" edit block times and show times to make you "legal to start legal to finish". End of the day, you get violated so make sure to keep perfect track of YOUR block times. YOUR block times are what matter. Be safe!

Rumor out from a buddy that works there. PSA to lower mins to 750/50 soon. Apparently not enough coming through the door with current mins.

Wonder who's gonna get to 500/50 or 100 first?

1500/500 to 750/50?? seems a little stretched. Last I heard we still had plenty of guys interviewing, whether they show up on class date over another regional is a different story.

anyone got the numbers on the next class?? we got class of 8 going on currently and upgrading 6 I believe. someone said next class might be big as 18. hope so!!

Talked to JB yesterday about hiring and the 1500/500 requirement. Right now they are still filling the classes of 8 with the current mins. She said that yes the mins are probably going to be lowered in the future but I highly doubt 750/50 will be seen for some time.
Go BUCKS!!!
