We had a bunch (70) hired in 2008. Only two were released to go to mainline. Total of 10 so far.
Fastforward to 2011 and 8 more of those hired in 2008 have gone.
Not one "new" person at Psa has been invited to an interview.
Rumors that an f/o from pinnacle was hired but there are many qualified from PSA have not. Pending lawsuit is in the works. Or so I hear. There must have been a memo out to mainline not to interview PSA pilots.

Newbie's...Get in and get out. No question about it... The way these operations run today they can close doors tomorrow.

So, with that being said, Let them pay for training, let them pay for your type, build your 1000 hrs. in a year, drink the cool-aid with a fake smile, and most importantly keep your resume up to date.

ALL regional's are the same, poverty lifestyle, long days mixed with long nights, you know the cliche. Only brightside, is where else can you build this amount of turbine time this fast? Now, how you're treated along the way is another story. It's called inhumane. But its not like you didn't know it going in...shame on you for expecting differently.

"It's not that I don't fly regional's because of all the young faces....I don't fly regional's because I don't know their prior schedule."

Anyone who just got hired or just interviewed know where I can get an up to date gouge? I have a buddy going to CLT next week and he is looking for one. Thanks

I have been looking as well, but can't seem to find one particular source. Gouge sites have multiple questions written up in them, so read closely and you should find some questions that will appear on their exam. I recently took the ATP written so I am hopeful that this will be helpful to me.

Does anyone have an update on what PSA has for classes scheduled? Any new-hires care to add anything about their training, quality of life, etc. Anything!?

Thanks!

I dont know of any up to date gouges, I just used the ones I could find at the other sites. Also deep in this thread somewhere there are gouge questions posted. Those worked for me. Read the questions carefully because I know there were some that could trip you up if you did not pay attention.

Sounds like there should be some movement soon, been hearing of guys moving on to greener pastures.

Running classes regularily. You will get DAY or TYS to start.

How hard is the training at PSA? From reading previous posts it seems as if their wash out rate is pretty high. Also, I heard their most recent class had 4/8 not make it through training. Pretty scary statistics. Anybody go through their training care to shed some light.

It's not a cake walk. You must work hard to get through it. Work with your partner constantly. Have a good attitude about your mistakes. Some inconsistency's between instructors so learn it each way.

I felt it was enjoyable because I like learning but I had to work really hard to get through and I have a 135 background.

Good luck

I'm interviewing soon, from a 135 background as well. Did you recently go through class? PM me if you would like.
