what is the upgrade at PSA, if we merged now we are about late 06/early 07 at Eagle. Over 1/3 of the FOs are hired in last 18 months. PSA will get screwed because they have 70 seat jets and we have some 70 and tons of 50 seaters. Merge it up, then cut the 50 seat jets.

If Eagle merges with PSA, it will not be date of hire. For one, it is against the ALPA merger policy. Second, about half or more of the captains at PSA would be junior to a lot of Eagle FO's. That is not a fair integration. Relative seniority is the only fair way to do it. That way there is no relative loss of seniority. If you do it relative, then if you are a middle of the list captain at either airline, you will still be a middle of the list captain. If you were a junior FO, you'll still be a junior FO, etc.
Wasnt AE getting close to 2007 hires upgrading? Obviously prior to this music stopping?
Im an 2007 hire at psa and barely 375/500? Seems like relative seniority only works for very few if this crazy hypothetical were to occur.... Also I thought ALPA Merger policy was supportive of DOH?

Maybe so, but the majority of captains at Eagle would be senior to a majority of PSA captains with DOH list. Over half the captains at PSA would be knocked back to FO. Relative is the one and only fair way. No one gains, no one loses.

It would be relative seniority DOH won't happen, it's the only fair way for everyone I didn't understand it until it was explained to me recently by PDT and PSA merger reps... However if Eagle is planning on dumping the 50 seaters and furloughing it should happen before any integration.
