*effective

And you can't recall an MEC, you can only recall an LEC. It's very difficult to recall an LEC because only union supporters bother show up to meetings.

In a nutshell: The membership votes in the LEC. The LECs collectively make up the MEC and vote in the MEC Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary/Treasurer.

The LEC can draft a resolution to be presented at an MEC meeting, ie to initiate a recall of Moak. If the resolution passes, the MEC Chairman must take action as directed in the resolution.

If the MEC Chairman, Vice Chairman or Secretary/Treasurer acts in contradiction of the resolution or otherwise are bad leaders, the LECs can recall them. If the LECs are acting in contradiction to the wishes of the rank and file membership, then the membership can recall the LEC.

Sounds to me, based on our newly announced hiring initiatives, that the 824 Eagle guys will begin showing up on property in November with no interview, no medical, no simulator evaluation, no HR interview. Based on the numbers we're projecting, the preferential hires - who also do not have to interview - will be here within the 5 years too.

It really does appear that the plan is to shrink Eagle as they flow the already AMR aclimated pilots over to mainline. There will be tons of movement at Eagle, and a clear pathway to the mainline.

That PSA deal is looking worse by the minute. A guaranteed interview? with a pay freeze if not hired? What were you guys ever thinking? Please don't ever come to APA; we can't afford people with no will to fight.

Agreed. American pilots are only interested in people with resolve.

Since alpa works for management and not the pilots at the regional level, this request is doa.

Alpa hasn't given one sh*t about regional pilots in the past, why bother now.

Alpa is simply the company's police department at the regional level, once you accept that it's much easier to dump them out on the street.

Whatever happened to pattern bargaining, anyway? ALPA should'nt generally speaking ever sign off on a TA inferior to any previous one.

What's your point other than to look like an idiot?

The most recent relevant post in this thread is from over 2 years ago. What is the current state of contracts around the industry today? I would say most have a significantly better contract in place.

So exactly what effect did PSA's deal have on the future of the regional bargaining landscape?
