At the time of our vote passing PSA mgmt(or anyone else's) had no idea what they had gotten themselves into with our scheduling language.
I'd still like to know what LANGUAGE you are referring to. Or are you just assuming it is bad because it's easy to hate us?
I answered yours now you answer mine.

What "LANGUAGE" are you referring to?
Your "RATES" argument was debunked in the very post you quoted.
Our overall pilot cost is well above many regionals on a per pilot basis due to favorable "LANGUAGE."
I would be willing to bet if your union told AAG management they would accept a carbon copy of PSA's contract AAG would say "no way."

Sounds like PSA has very similar contracts to compass (- a couple of bucks) and many others. The cap is bad. At the same time... Lifers have killed regionals. What is so different from other regionals in PSA's contract?

Your probably right, they realized PSA fell faster than a french army and gave them too much. How would you feel if you were a captain and your FO told you he wishes the company would let him bid left seat, he would do it for less than your getting paid now, but its ok because he wouldn't personally be taking a pay cut from his current fo rate.
Your scenario does not mirror the current situation at all.
The seniority system makes this thing more complicated than you all are willing to admit.
For years everyone's mantra around here was "pay rates aren't everything." PSA makes up for the 12yr cap with other contract language. Your mgmt telling you that you would be required to "keep up" with PSA was just as much a lie as them telling you they were going to shut Eagle down. Our total contract cost is higher on a per pilot basis than most regionals.
Of course the rates ARE everything now though....

The funny part is that Mesa has been flying these things around in eagle paint for weeks. In actuality They've really been flying '900s since 2001-02 and even with some NextGens added later.
I guess it's hard to get excited about crap CRJs but hey sounds like you guys are thrilled.
