PSA New Hire Class

I will never agree with the 12 year cap for Captains. Not when we have others at 18. But that is a whole other thread.
For a new f/o at PSA, i think there is a bright future. The 911 generation got screwed but the 2011- club should be in a good place.

We have Captains at PSA that are making $80/hour but reality are making $180/hr due to the SAP. Flying 65hrs and crediting 140.
Figure a 4 year f/o at $40/hour. If he credits 140 hours but only works 65hrs is making $86/hour. Highest in the industry.
The only way management can stop us from doing this is to overstaff the airline. And that isn't going to happen with 30 airplanes showing up.

Agree with everything else. The cap sucks.

As I said in my original post, each person needs to make his/her own decision. PSA is a very good place to work. Is it the best? It may very well be depending on the person.
Quick upgrade? That's all perspective. I feel pretty secure in saying compared to XJT, the upgrade at PSA will be faster.
We have 30 confirmed 900's coming (actually 29 because #1 is on the ramp in DAY). There are options for 40 more. Where are Envoy's 47 -700s going? Time will tell.
This is a great pilot group and the culture here just keeps getting better.
