I still complain about stuff here but it's mostly small potatoes.

Lots of time off and a nice paycheck changes your perspective.
4 years of PSA reserve will leave a mark. But now its getting better. Not perfect but getting much better.
117 is helping too.
I will never agree with the 12 year cap for Captains. Not when we have others at 18. But that is a whole other thread.
For a new f/o at PSA, i think there is a bright future. The 911 generation got screwed but the 2011- club should be in a good place.

Figure a 4 year f/o at $40/hour. If he credits 140 hours but only works 65hrs is making $86/hour. Highest in the industry.
The only way management can stop us from doing this is to overstaff the airline. And that isn't going to happen with 30 airplanes showing up.
Hey why go to mainline then ?

Latest captain award has all 2011 hires upgrading with most junior being an August 2011 hire.

Right there with ya....I was reserve for about 2. Almost all under the old contract. 4 years is torture.

Agree with everything else. The cap sucks.

Yes. All in my class were awarded they're first choice by end of sim training.

Quick upgrade? That's all perspective. I feel pretty secure in saying compared to XJT, the upgrade at PSA will be faster.

We have 30 confirmed 900's coming (actually 29 because #1 is on the ramp in DAY). There are options for 40 more. Where are Envoy's 47 -700s going? Time will tell.

This is a great pilot group and the culture here just keeps getting better.
Definately a management troll.

That's pretty quick in today's standards. Who's quicker? Maybe commutair, TSA?
