PSA, Compass, TSA and Gojet all have upgrades at three years or less, PSA having the best contract out of the four.

CURRENTLY. You keep doing the same thing even though I call you out on it. Did you think I would not notice or something?

Now tell the kiddos what seniority number 900 at PSA can expect for upgrade time - Provided Iraq does not tighten up fuel supply, provided ISIS doesn't shut down the airlines in a terrorist attack, provided the housing bubble does not burst the economy again......

And PilotCrusader comes to the rescue. In twelve months, start talking about seniority number 900 when they are hired.

Dont forget, what happens to the 20+ other airlines out there "IF" those things happen? I guarantee where you're at will see ill effects as well.

Of course it will. Case and point! Don't broadcast current upgrade time as if it will be the same down the road. You guys all know your growth hiring is on the tail end. You may just be hitting the "Sweet Spot" in terms of current upgrades. However, that "Sweet Spot" for today's new hire and later on has long since departed. You know this but your dirty little soul is okay with trying to blind some unassuming new hire into thinking they too will upgrade in just 18 months! Scumbags.

Ok as a neutral party, please take your pessimism elsewhere. Maybe that's true, and you have made your point, move on. Does not change the fact that upgrades are 3 years apart. You just can't predict the future.

I would take it elsewhere but the PSA hiring department on here wants to cover up what I said and hope I have left pages later so they can continue to skew the truth.

And yes, you can reasonably predict that, as long as no other horrible events happen (Which of course will affect us all), what the upgrade time will be.

Listen, this is a hiring departments age old secret: A small cohort of people will hit a very short upgrade cycle. The trick is to make a larger cohort believe they are all in that smaller cohort - IE LIE. Several of the PSA hiring guys on here are doing just that. They are liars without conscience that hell is waiting for.

Here is my post from 30 odd pages in. Seeing as the PSA parrots on here keep repeating the same crap everyday, why can't I throw this out there every now and then?

Okay, I think you know what I am getting at: I have heard rumors of PSA and another airline with shiny new airplanes, <cough> MESA <cough>, telling applicants to expect an 18 month upgrade. While that may stand true for the "luckiest", have you not already passed the "sweet spot"? What are you at. 700 pilots now? Up from 500 originally? If you are getting 30 airplanes, at a rate of 13 pilots per plane (Being "117 generous here), you need 200 or so more right? So you need 200 more to hit the magic 900 number. Half are Captains pretty much, or the 1st 450 or so on the list. Your pilots have been all over this board saying attrition is extremely low at PSA. You get 4 pilots per month hired at USAir, or 48 pilots per year. Let's double that and say attrition is a nice round 100 pilots per year. So if I get hired today, mr piloto number 701!, I am going to be around 2 years from upgrade. You say you are running 40-50 through per month. So at that rate you will be all staffed up in 4 months! Hell if I waited a month a was piloto 801, I would be looking at a little over 3 years.

By the time you hire your last guy gets hired in September, who I am guessing did not do well in 5th grade math, mr piloto 900 will have to wait 4.5 years. That is not a horrible upgrade time, as long as the music keeps playing. So far history has proven it does not take much to stop it. Then you are stuck at an airline with a payscale and contract that your pilots on here like to say "Hey we are better than MESA!". That should be your new slogan! HEY! WE PAY BETTER THAN MESA!

You act like you have just uncovered a huge conspiracy. It's not a secret that the industry is cyclical and upgrade times will vary. Any applicant can look at the past and see this, it applies to all airlines. Why aren't you on the Compass thread preaching this? "Yeah they are getting 20 new airplanes but the upgrade won't be short forever! Don't fall for the trap!"
Sorry but your doom and gloom ranting is falling on deaf ears.

Haha no conspiracy here young PSA soul giver. Compass is at the beginning of their growth spree. Anyone going there right now would enjoy a fast upgrade. Anyone going to PSA RIGHT NOW, would not be getting as fast an upgrade as what is "Current". It is not doom and gloom. I just get torqued when I see Joe Isuzu salesmen trying to pull the wool over some poor unassuming new pilots ears.

Better yet why don't people with negative attitudes stop blowing hate and their "expert" opinion on issues such as upgrades. People join the airlines just for the same reasons as you "preachers" on here. Upgrades etc...who cares. Enjoy your freaking job now cause you are right...tomorrow you maybe working elsewhere. Jesus people need to get a life and relax. No one ever changed anything in the industry from this board. Also, no one cares about the "expert" opinions of people. They troll on here for insights about airlines and the industry and don't need to hear "your" opinions and "take" on what "you" think is right or fair. BTW: this post is NOT directed at anyone in particular. That's all you are dismissed.
