Dispatch reliability is the number of flights which actually depart compared to scheduled departures.
Completion factor is how many scheduled flights actually arrive at the destination.
The numbers are similar. When a flight departs the gate on schedule but returns for maintenance issues, disruptive pax, crew timing out, whatever the reason, the flight did depart on schedule. The completion factor is impacted by the same issues but a cancellation results or a flight is cancelled before ever leaving the gate.
This based upon what I observed over the years.

The first EMB-145's delivered to AMR had airstairs. They were modified for plug type doors.
AMR fought with Bombardier to deliver the CRJ's with plug doors but lost.

In any event, seems like every trip we'll hit an outstation where we don't use a jetbridge, and half the time in CLT we don't either.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that AWAC exercised an option to extend their contract under reduced rates in order to retain the business. This shows more of a sign of desperation and not one of strength in the 50 seat segment of the industry.
I have no idea of the motivation Delta had in signing Republic for another 5 years, but if I were them I might consider doing that in order to tie up a pool of pilots that could otherwise be cannibalized for a competitors 175 operation.
Don't get me wrong. I believe 50 seaters will hang around for a while longer, but they are obviously the most prone to being cut due to staffing issues or fuel spikes.

If you are starting with zero time, this is good for you. You will be on reserve a couple months as a FO initially. Once you upgrade to captain, there will likely be several captains that are already behind you and you can get a line faster. It all depends on when you get in (now versus 6 months from now) and what base you choose. CLT is currently the "senior" base.
With this growth, the faster you get in, the faster your career progresses. That is true for PSA and several other places that are growing.
