$40,000 first year is realistic. If you go to the E175, the only bases are ORD, LAX, SFO, SEA, PDX, DEN. Guys are getting SEA before finishing training or shortly afterwards. Depending on the class, new hires have been getting ORD or LAX/SFO.

Ok thanks, so bidding a E175 out of Seattle wouldn't be too hard to do? I've heard the 175s are pretty hard to bid. Is that still the case?

New hires can get the E175. Depending how many new hires want it, there could be a wait for a class date.

Not true, their '33k' is paid out over 3 years for new hires when they are FOs.

Yeah, I know, just going with what some here were saying. I can't wait to see how Trans States will pay their bonus out to achieve their claim of $75K first year. That should be some interesting math.

From their website:

$36,350 base annual pay
+ $22,000 year one bonuses ($10k after IOE, $12k at 1 year anniversary)
+ $8640 per diem
+ $4771 benefits (medical, dental, life, AD&D, long-term disability plus 401(k) contributions)
+ $3600 hotel benefits

= $75,361 by my math

I love how some of these places are including per diem and "benefits" to pad their numbers.

That's cute. And highly inflated. My first year per diem was less than $4500. Crazy numbers.

I swear some company is going to factor in the cost of the jet and say newhires make millions because they fly super cool new planes.
