Who did they 'steal' the flying from?
...and these are the same kids that 'stand their ground' and complain about Gojet....
Hippocrate comes to mind...
goes to show......regional flying is ALL contract work....as I said earlier.....glad for my friends at Express....I am looking at a 6-7 year upgrade....my fault because I am not starting over to chase an upgrade.....
I just couldnt help but notice the complete hipocracy in immature and most 21-28 year olds who complain about one company taking flying but jump for joy when it is theirs....its mind numbing

While you do make a good point, I think the big difference is our compensation is higher than ASA's and, more importantly, we are not an non-union alter-ego carrier that was created to sidestep a current contract. I have no idea what the deal is worth or what ASA is getting paid but I doubt our price is low enough to be considered an under-cut. I could be wrong, though.
Good news for XJT, but I wouldn't gloat too much. There are still some red flags. But overall, and I mean this sincerely, congrats! Now you can at least breathe a little easier! At least your company is winning RFP's...

I totally agree. It's good news for us but it's too bad that ASA will suffer because of it.

Let me please qualify this, however. I'm not knocking XJT guys, I've got lots of friends over there hope the company does great. I do find it odd, though, when guys critique one co for getting flying from another company and then jump for joy at the same thing.
But, they're all doing it. What can you do?

OK it might be time to face the cold hard facts here - ExpressJet is just a better run operation than ASA at this point in time. SkyWest is also a very well run operation, very efficient, with good compensation, which is why they are continuing to win RFP's.
I work for a company that is expensive, not only in wages but in overall cost structure, which prevents them from winning these RFP's. Don't be jealous they are building a better mousetrap, that has nothing to do with undercutting.

I think that is taking the concept of "undercutting" a little too far. Yeah theoretically in its simplest form it may be. But we are not talking about Mesa or the likes winning some flying. When we are talking about one of the top end regionals winning flying i think it shows they are simply a better run company.
