Had an F/A crew swap and when the new ones showed up one said that when she woke up that morning in the hotel she didn’t think that we would be flying because it was raining and she didn’t know that we flew in the rain.

Had an FA call up to the flight deck recently wanting to know where we were at/what city we were over because a passenger had asked. I, obviously joking, said, “we have no clue where we’re at, we never do.” She responds, dead serious, with “Well that’s what I figured. I told them that the pilots wouldn’t know because they use special aviation maps.” I started laughing and said no, that’s not true at all and proceeded to tell her our location. I can’t imagine what those passengers thought when the FA told them the pilots wouldn’t know where we we’re at. 🤣 Worst part is that this specific FA is a 20-year veteran.
