At a WO right now perhaps. And I’m glad it worked out for many of my FOs who’ve been picked up by a major while I can’t get an interview. But for many of us hired in the 90’s/post 9/11 that’s our reality. And while it seems the good times will never end and every 23 year old starting off now will be a 777 Captain before they turn 35 this is a cyclical industry.

That’s honestly sad. This is coming from someone in their mid 20’s.

Sorry, at this point Mesa is the dark, dark horse. I don’t think GoJet has a chance.
We shall see over the next month.
Speaking to some friends at Xjt, looks like they will be getting the 170s in April. Not sure it that's a sure thing, but he sounded like it's a done deal. This will be good for XJT, shows the company is turning around.

Yeah, it seems pretty sure.
Now the question is who loses the -700’s. The safe money is GoJet. Their recruiters seem kind of quiet right now.

Part of the union webinar. If the contract is approved UA will award a minimum of 20 -175s to ExpressJet.

Wouldn’t they just swap them for the 145s Expressjet has?

Nope. They want us to fly 171 airframes. Obviously, if they can't staff all the airframes they would fly the -175's, but they will replace CRJ-700's being flown by another FFD airline to comply with UAL scope.
