Thanks for agreeing with me, HMP- but your idea brings up another consideration... our branded operation at XJT sells it's own tickets and flies it's own routes, but I personally still don't consider us a major.

nevertheless, i applaud you and your company for doing your own flying. I think that more should follow suit.

What would it take for you to consider XJT a major?

Yea, is that what you republicans/chitaquans do when you get cancelled? Cause you sure don't get PAID Boyee!!

Get a contract improvement and get paid for what you're scheduled.

Great lakes? Are you rich? Or do you get off on living in complete poverty while flying 8 legs a day?

Probably the latter. Also, being a part of the most badass bunch of pilots doing the rowdiest flying at the regional level probably helps as well.

GLA probably shouldn't be a part of this discussion anyhow as they are a true 'regional' airline. All the other airlines are national/major 'super commuters.'

If you went CFI direct RJ you really missed out IMHO. Don't get mad, I'm just biased, you probably made a lot more money and got to kiss all those 'cute' FAs.

Believe me I have nothing but admiration for you guys flying the 1900, but I just think you should get paid a lot more than $15 an hour. As far as F/A's, well, is nice having coffee, but most of them are not very good looking.

Christ I didn't know it was that easy!!! Here I was thinking we had to wait until the contract could be ammended, go into negotiations, and work this stuff out with the company. Where have I been? I'm firing off an e-mail to management right now saying I demand a contract improvement and that we should get cancellation pay. Thanks for the advice.

Side note: The CBA RAH is working under right now was essentially their first one negotiated by pilots in 2002 (the industry was awesome back then, right?). It's 2007, and anything that does not have a vast "contract improvement" on it is going to get my no vote.
