Yeah instead of people valuing real education, logic and critical thinking they use this great wealth of information to get the facts from listening to Alex Jones. I would argue the opposite that our problems arrive from people not valuing education and science anymore.

Some one with no degree who runs their own business, manages their own affairs, and is successful at doing it should be more highly valued and coveted than the #1 graduate at Harvard. One thinks they know everything, the other has demonstrated that they do in fact know everything that is important to know.

All good!!! I don’t know how i feel about requiring a degree for the AA flow folks. I’m back in school now, since I’m doing my ratings via a 141 school..and flying is no joke. You have to be fairly technical to have a good understanding of this. Rote memorization goes only so far.

Yeah but he's not and never has been. How did so many people get it all wrong for all those centuries?
Of course it matters what you're being coveted for. Usually those two people are in entirely different fields of endeavor. Besides if the businessman was worth a damn, why would he even need another job???
The other was pretty motivated, pretty smart, and performed pretty well per the rules of the game he grew up in. And is 22 years old. His work ethic and hopefully skills at learning should serve him well in the future.
Apples to Oranges.
Acid test of success... which one would the hot young woman choose? A young ivy league grad is pretty attractive, but she still might go for the old guy if he has enough money

One knows everything that's important to know about what he spent his life doing. And is typically 55 years old at least.

And let's face it, the only thing he demonstrated was the ability to click "next" on a bunch of Powerpoint presentations.
