Here is another wrinkle to add to this already contentious conversation.
Coronavirus Can Remain On Paper Currency For 28 Days, Per New Study
I am surprised how many people I still see tip with cash, even venturing to say that I feel like I see MORE people tipping now than before. When this outbreak started I was certain that cash tipping like we do was going away, but it seems to be sticking around.

I was never in the habit of licking my dollar bills anyway, and wash my hands after hotel check-in, shopping, etc (even before covid).Originally Posted by Cyio

Currency commonly also has detectable traces of cocaine, semen, etc. Doesn't mean you're going to pop a whiz-quiz or get pregnant from tipping.

You would be wrong and I do still tip. Are you one of the ones like ThKooK who still thinks this Covid deal was made up and one giant conspiracy theory? Still dont think masks help? Given that a major University as well as a major publication studied and then published an article on it, I dont think I am to far off base making mention of it.Originally Posted by LoneStar32

Getting pregnant or popping on a drug test are not the same as this, nice try. I was not particularly worried either, due to the reason you mention, I always wash my hands when I get to the hotel room, however mistakes happen and not everyone does that. You dont have to lick money for something to get on your hands. If you accidentally then rub your eye, well that's how viruses work. Not rocket science.Originally Posted by rickair7777

Given the immense publicity Covid received and the measures that governments around the world took to slow the spread, I am surprised more attention didn't get focused on paper money.
I am not saying that I was particularly worried about handling cash, just genuinely surprised more were not.

Are you sure this isn't an insulting statement toward me that will get you an infraction? Sure seems like it to me.Originally Posted by Cyio
