The instructor could do either one. They will give you the approach plate ahead of time to study (at least they did last year). Look at how you would enter the holds. It makes it easier when it comes SIM time.

When I interviewed, the gentleman didn't make me hold. On the missed, he moved me completely away from where I should have been and had me proceed direct to the VOR. He asked me to describe the entry in detail, headings, etc...and that was the end of the sim for me. I didn't actually have to hold.

The chances of anyone recently hired upgrading in a CRJ by next year is slim to none. However, you may get a chance to upgrade in the Saab... if you're lucky Of course, we hired street captians last year and I never thought that would happen at XJ either. Crazy times...

Also I have the class date for the 17th. Anyone know what aircraft they will be assigning on the 17th? Anyone know what kind of financial shape Mesaba is in given the fact they have turboprops and less 50 seat jets than alot of other regionals. Also they have a good number of 76 seat jet which places them in a good position.

I don't know the financial condition of the company, considering we are owned by Northwest, but we are on the upside of the scale. We have 49 SAABs, 31 CRJ900's going to 36, and 17 CRJ200's.

Considering the condition of the industry and our past 4 years of rocky history, our current state is golden. Plus 3/4 of our seniority list has been on property less than 3 years. Making our labor expenses fairly low.

You won't be sorry for coming. Welcome

We're likely not hiring solely for a proposed ATL saab base. The saab fleet is fully delivered and established. All they'd likely do is decrease postions in our current bases and allow people to bid to ATL and if there aren't any takers, they'd displace the most junior. We're also not hiring for the few more 900s we have remaining for delivery. You guys do the math...
