I'm not sure if it's the fact that I need to book for tomorrow night (more expensive because it's short notice), or if the $65 rate is from some time ago, or if there's some reduced rate for interviewees. Any takers on this question? Thanks in advance; if anyone has a better suggestion, please throw it out there.
I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites on Wednesday for my interview. It was $59.99 plus tax when I mentioned I was interviewing with Mesaba.

PS for those who wanted to know, the interview is exactly like the most recent gouge on aviationinterviews.com Including the 25 questions for the test. Very good interview experience. The sim was a little squirly on the ILS for myself and the rest of the seven that interviewed, also it has a slight tendancy to be to the right so you need to correct for that, BUT DONT OVERCORRECT. Great company, hope I get the call in the next week!

You sure he wasn't smiling because he is flowing to Delta soon. And before any one gets to excited he was bypassed from the flow for a year becasue he was management.

Quick Question for some of you who already got called for an interview. Does updating an application affect your response time. I submitted mine on 10/06 updated on 10/12. Still havent heard anything. Does anyone know if it's 6 weeks from submited date or does updating an app through it in the back of the line?

I applied the second to third week of October and got the call about 3 weeks after I submitted my app for an interview. I dont know where you are furloughed from, but I do know that the Mesaba MEC has set up preferential hiring for Comair furloughees.

Default Bidding after IOE

Hey Guys,

New Hire question here. When you are signed off from IOE, does CS immediately put you on a reserve line for the remainder of the month?

Any time between IOE and reserve days to move?

When do you bid on a Green line? or are they just assigned?

They will assign you reserve as soon as they realize that you're done with OE and when your paper work goes through. It takes anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.

You are eligible to bid a green line when you see ">>" next to your name in the bid packet.

Got the call today. I start class on December 15. They said I'll probably get the Saab but they can't say for sure until the vacancy bid comes out.

Good luck to you guys interviewing this week.
