Crossfeed 69,
Just own up to the failure, but don't dwell on it. And never forget to tell what you LEARNED from the failure. In other words, turn a negative ionto a positive. It has happened to the best of us, and the odds are that it will happen to all of us at some point in our careers. Just don't let it discourage you in you career pursuit.
Peace.

XFD69,
I am no expert. I too am just getting my feet wet in the airline biz. If I were you, I would put what happened behind me, learn from it (you're a CFI, you know a person always learns best from their mistakes), and move on.
Besides you've got a career and airplanes to fly!
BTW: If you don't mind me asking, what airline were you training with, and who are you going to be interviewing with? If you'd rather not say, totally understand.
Good Luck

Does your name refer to Greenwood Lake Airport, NJ? Taught there many, many years ago. Is the Connie still there? If so, I've got a great story for ya on that!
Peace.
