I'm coming into the CRJ. Not sure on the base yet. I live in Seattle, so the closer the better. I was thinking SLC or SMF (have friends & fam in Sac) if possible. Then again, if I could hold a line in ORD out of the gate, that would be tempting.... thoughts?

I have two words for you. One of them is 'Mil', and the other one is 'waukee.'
Realistically, though, you're looking at perhaps three or four months for SLC, and probably a good year for SMF. If you have decent seniority in your class, as determined by your SSN, you might have a shot at ORD. Don't know about a line though.

In order from least to more senior & estimated times to hold reserve (not a line):
MKE (training), ORD (2-3 months), SLC (6-8 months), DEN (8-10 months)...............................
PS. If you’re commuting by air then it's always better to hold a line, even if your commute flight is 3 hours. You'll make more money and have more time off.
