Don't quite see where you are going with this...? Why would you not want to bring your app?? Number one, you never know these days, and number two, there will be recruiters at the job fair...[/quote]
Ok then, I'll spell out the entire situation (i was trying to avoid this).
#1 I am not positive I want to work for AE. They are my current number 1 choice, but I feel the need to research more. If I got an interview date, then denied it, I would feel like I burned a bridge.
#2 I do NOT have all the information nessecary to fill this application out. They want a 10 year work/ living history. WTF!? My permanant residence and my actual residence has not been similar until 4 years ago. What this does is make inconsitant work + living addresses. My pilot license adress might have been in town A when my work adress might have been in town B. What does an applicant reviewer think when they see something like that? How do I reconcile those differences on the limited format of an application?
#3 I am waiting for that stupid FCC cert. I filled out the application two days ago.
Points 2 worries me. I have heard of people getting denied or their applications being thrown out for that kind of thing. Then, they are locked out of applying for 6 months.
Point 3 is probably a minor point, but if I am going to apply for an airline job, I want all those documents in hand. What if the thing gets lost in the mail, or something happens that I do not have it in hand on interview date?
In summary, I want all my ****** together before the application is sent in to avoid getting locked out of applying again for 6 months.

Just an FYI, Ref Point 2, you will need that as it's part of the FBI/US Gov't Background check "required" by the federal gov't. You will also be finger-printed when you get hired, and they will submit those for a background check. I'm just a F/A right now, and we all have to do that too!!!!
Take your time, get your 10-year address history all together, and get it right the first time, cause you should need that for most any airline you apply for, no matter what position (i.e., Flight Officer, Flight Attendant, Mechanic, CSR....it's a security thing). I know what you mean about it being a pain in the ***, as I have transferred so many times, and going to college (living in different apartments each semester, then at home during summer)......it's a pain, but required, once you get it all together, save it somewhere.....I typed mine out in a Microsoft Word format, so I can either just print it out and say "see attached" or "attach" it with the email......I'm still time building right now, (hoping to be done in Dec 2007) and have not used Airline Apps service, so I don't know how they handle it, but if you have to type it all over again, at least you have it in front of you to copy!

Talked with a ALPA rep from Eagle yesterday. He said that Bowler was amazed that pilots would go to Eagle to get time to go to other airlines. (SkyWest and others). They are thinking of incentives. Management was saying like a $3,000 bonus after getting off IOE and $4,000 after one year of employment.
The union just wants hourly pay to go up. Yes bonuses would be great but think about it this way. If I was to go to Skywest after 1 o 1.5 years I could be a captain getting captain pay. At eagle now FO are getting FO pay until 7-8 years. That is dramatic! The pay and PIC time are blow away Eagle. If we are going to get good qualified pilots we need something drastic to happen. Letter 3? more pay? I am at Eagle now and like it but I may be one of those people that jump ship if nothing is done....... Let the bashing continue.....

Sebastion...you worry to much my man! I've lived in 8 states in the last 4 years and held enough jobs to make your head spin.
If you are qualified - which I assume you to be by your last post - get your paperwork together (it's easier than you think) at any cost-of-time, get to that job fair and get yourself a Job!
Of course, be perfectly honest with the folks there - they'll understand that your FCC cert is in the mail...If you really need more time, use what they give you before your class date :-P

HerkDriver,
Yeah, I phrased that badly, 2 pilot groups under APA is no better than 2 groups under ALPA (see the HP/US arbitration fiasco).
Bring all AMR flying operations under one consolidated list... nah, still doesn't have the right ring to it. Somebody else can write the slogan, but the idea is if American sells the ticket, we do all the flying. One pilot group, one list. (Yeah, yeah, I know oneWorld....)
Saxman, the idea is not you have to be Eagle before you can be American, but that there is no Eagle, there only is American. American Airlines flying ATRs, Saabs, EMJs and CRJs. No operated by, contracted by, or wholy owned by. Upgrade to the left seat of an RJ, or go be the bunkie on a 777.

ALPA and APA have reached a mutual acceptable agreement. The two unions have proposed the agreement to AMR. AMR has asked for time to decipher the info and run a cost analysis. What the agreement says I have no idea, but I am eagerly awaiting information. I have been contacted by one of our senior managers and will passing along all of your suggestions. Thank you for all of your post.

Whats the latest on this? Is it likely that Eagle and American could effectively become one airline? I like the concept and the time for something like this is way overdue.
Is Eagle currently requiring that intensive military style physical?

Company to meet with both unions on Sept. 18. I am not sure if the medical is still required try looking on aviationinterviews.com.

Very basic medical exam now at AE. I think a hearing, vision and pee test might be all they do.

Maybe they should look into their interview screening process. It's been over a month and they keep calling me telling me that there is something wrong with my AirlineApps application. There is a glitch or something with the system and it keeps deleting info. I have had four different people refer me too.
I think you will lose a lot of applicants that way. Now, I have been offered employment elsewhere. I know several people who have had the same experience.
My suggestion, stop using AirlineApps and develope your own online application system.
