Comair updates?
Actually, it is way off the truth. According to those in the "know" at the GO, the "F" word is not even being avoided. One person very high in the food chain says that anymore of that is very unlikely at all.
Before that info was even talked about, the number was going to be around 20-30. So the previous number that someone stated was about 500% off.

So you're saying that they were talking about furloughing, but only 20-30..but now Comair is looking at no additional furloughs in the fall?
Who are are you speaking of when you say mention those that are "in the know"?

well if its true that they were only going to furlough 20-30 they better hang on a for a few weeks and check out how many guys are putting in there 2 weeks.
According to T.O'B. in jfk last week 5 FO's put in their notice this week alone.
Side note here:
Rumors at mesa is United will be pulling all of there dash 8's and 26 200's in fall. According to mesa's own filings they will have to declare bankruptcy. Also according to Mesa's 10k Delta has an early out option if either party declares bankruptcy. Delta may not have to wait on the court to make a decision.

Yes, I have heard about people putting in their notices as well. Noticed a few CAs on that as well.
Yes, they are saying that there will be no furloughs this fall. The numbers that they were given are the absolute minimum for flight hours. With those numbers, there would have been 20-30 furloughs most likely. The thing with that is we ALWAYS end up having way more hours than what was initially estimated, hence the scenario of zero furloughs. I don't name people here unless I am dragging them through the mud for stupidity, but two different department heads have said this where I was listening first hand.

Stay tuned. He also said he doesn't expect recalls for a long, long, time.
I appreciated his honesty. It appears that Bendo doesn't know anymore than we do, aside from wait and see.
If you find yourself with other oppurtunities, take it. Comair, well.........
Foley's options can't be worth much. I know a few Mesa pilots, will check with them to what they have heard.
