So sorry...I didn't take the APC course at Riddle... My mommy and daddy couldn't afford anything beyond the $180k, so I had to make cuts from somewhere. APC wisdom was one of the cuts. The good news is I have a 21k a year job and a 1200 dollar loan payment, oh wait.. Damn furloughs.....Nevemind..
1. "riddle...mommy...daddy...blah blah"....never heard that before
2. your magic eightball words of wisdom really didnt help the guys on this thread
3. no i dont work for comair...and no im not furloughed...so dont try

This has already been proven wrong by ASA. Their contract says they get 90% of all ATL DCI ops..
And look at skywest in slc, I don't think hardly ANYONE aside skywest and daddy d go in there. I think it speaks measures about deltas feelings on comair, when it's us and freedom sharing bases in Cvg and jfk.
Steve B talked to my recurrent ground the other day and it wasn't the usual company Kool aid. He was practically pleading with us about on time performance criteria so we "look good for the rest of the world". And admitted to all of us that comairs ENTIRE business model is based on mesa gong under. There is no plan if mesa survives and their delta flying sticks. Listening to him was like listening to someone say their last words.

- I was happy to hear is that there no plans right now with merging with Mesaba or Compass. They might look into it further down the road in 2-3+ years.
- Once again, the UAL flying was mentioned, and there might be a chance that we could see some in the future. It would be 50 seat flying, as UAL is limited by scope on 70 seat JETS! However, there is no scope on 70 seat PROPS, so they have mentioned Q400s for UAL.
- Talked a bit about the integration of wholly owned carriers after the merger. As of right now, everyone will continue to operate separately.
- Cost structures were mentioned between other DCI carriers, and that obviously Comair is one of the highest ones, due to our senior pilot group.
- Profit sharing checks will be distributed next week, should be between 3-4%.
Thanks for posting the "notes" Driver.

If profit sharing checks at 3-4% this time, what were they LAST time... I remember them being quite a bit higher than usual on the last round... what % was that....
and no not all schedulers arent stupid, but they DO hate pilots.... this has been my worst month on reserve after 18 months at the company... the worst....

Im kinda sick of hearing that one. Hardly any of delta's management that was there during the strike is currently there now. After the merger almost none will be left. Anderson is bringing in all of his old management guys from NWA to run delta.
I hate to say it but the current people there dont care how much money you cost Delta 10 years ago. They were at another airline at the time. They did however see what happened at Delta and wont let any 1 regional carrier get to much market share.

Guys and gals, just remember... we are not at war with scheduling... they are just doing their job. The problems are above them and with one individual in particular, DS.
I'm just as guilty as the next guy getting upset about an assignment, but you will probably get a lot further with the schedulers if you are nice to them, even if you are being given an illegal assignment, you can still be professional when declining that assignment. Just be respectful and remember that you are talking to another human being on the other end.... their jobs are hard enough as it is.
