Did I hear correctly that their won't be any one in the CP office on Sundays now. A's position is being done away with and so is MM's. A actually made things happen, so that's going to suck. Let's see how much the Maestro Checkout Attendant likes this program now when it screws him over while flying reserve.

I wonder how he will deal with going from 105 hours of credit/month to 60-80 on reserve? Maybe now he will push for a higher min line value than 76 hours.
You know the guy that writes our FLT Stanz manuals? I guess the company is doing away with his position to. They agreed to get rid of him and then to hire him back under a different title that pays less money to do the same job. Watch him quit and then some yahoo will be changing the books to their liking and we will be doing revisions everytime we show up for work.
Seems to me that the company is making integrations changes in the office with all of the positions that they are doing away with.

Although, I think it's supposed to be: "CAPTAIN, WE WILL NOT BE SILENT!!!"
Flight Attendant: You know, if you do try and get some sleep, the flight will go a lot faster.
Jack Ryan: I can never sleep on a plane. Turbulence.
Flight Attendant: Pardon?
Jack Ryan: Turbulence. Solar radiation heats the Earth's crust, warm air rises, cold air descends - turbulence. I, I don't like that.
Flight Attendant: Oh. Well, try to get some sleep anyway.

Furlough Update
-Company will not even meet with ALPA to discuss mitigation.
-Company only wanted to extend MOU to keep min line value at 76 instead of the contractually 84ish (where it goes back to at the end of the year)...which would only save about 25-30 jobs (not worth it, frankly)
I spoke to a rep, this is what he had to say. Hopefully this'll shut up some of the people that think the company is on their side. Comair, doesn't give a crap whether we work there or not, or whether we're happy or not. ALPA has no ground to stand on cause of the federal railway labor act and Comair knows it. This is the unfortunate reality that we're all going to get furloughed and there's nothing that ALPA can do about it, because the Aholes in mgmt wont meet to discuss anything with substance.
I also complained loudly about the lack of communication, and he apparently understood that..and working to get some more correspondence out there between us and the union.
Good luck to everyone.
