Looks like we're getting ALL of our money..and none will be taken out unless we quit.
Good job ALPA
Fellow Comair Pilots,
This morning we have awoken to a small victory for all of our Furloughed Pilots in regards to pay.
Because of the pressure in which you have provided by contacting the company, labor boards, and other resources the company has determined it is in their best interest to follow the contract. Please remember they are only doing this because they have realized they are legally required.
Currently payroll is cutting checks to all pilots 10/05 and 11/05 who had greater than a 1/20 deduction of their crew outfitters balance. These checks should be available later today and this weekend in the CVG Chief Pilots Office. If you were already due a 2/3 refund as an 11/05 furloughee you will have two checks. If you would like to have your check mailed to you or if you have further questions on this today please call the Chief Pilots Office so that payroll may focus on cutting manual checks.
Your paycheck total should be 100% of your pay minus your normal deduction on all remaining checks. Any balance remaining on your account will remain after your furlough until such time you are recalled and payments resume. If you resign your seniority number in a recall processes the company will expect payment in full. All of this is discussed in Section 25J of our contract.
In regards to any fees, overdraft amounts, or other charges caused by your incorrect and illegal payment please forward to me all charges that you have incurred so that I may present on your behalf at an October 23, 2008 grievance hearing. Please include all charges in detail with descriptions, and your employee number. Also please feel free to continue any self help methods you have engaged in to include labor boards as we all fight to regain the money lost for each and everyone of you.
It is my hope that Comair Management will continue to explore and means to mitigate furloughs and begin to discuss real solutions with ALPA. We will continue to be open for discussion on all avenues of furlough mitigation that will truly mitigate furloughs but not plans that serve as only pay cuts and attacks on our quality of life.
Together we have accomplished this victory.

Congratulations guys and girls. While the union is not the answer to every problem we face, there are times when they do a great job. Without them, good luck reigning in the abuse of power that has become all too common with Comair management.
