The word over at Delta is that even with the huge reduction in hours across the system, that they don't plan on furloughing. I can only imagine that more cuts are coming from another Delta entity.
The International Base didn't last long here in CVG. Well, the most recent one anyway. I hear that is done and the MTC guys were told there jobs are moving to ATL.

I'm probably missing an underlying joke in this, but in the event I'm not, do you have a link to an article with that quote?

I'm pretty sure it won't be good news. We all know that the block hours will go down come this fall, the question is how many hours will Comair lose and how will this affect staffing? Delta has already announced to hack international flights by 15 percent which will include a 20 percent cutback on transatlantic routes. JFK is one of their major international gateways, and who brings all the international connecting pax to JFK? Comair! This will have a direct effect on us! With the recession, swine flue and the price of oil going up again, things will get worse before they get better. All I am saying is, forget about a new base and forget about recalls!
