Too all furloughed guys. I feel for you guys, I really do. However I have been noticing that your support amongst the pilot is diminishing. It's not that your fellow pilot don't want you to come back, because they do. The problem is that the situation continues to get worse and now they(the pilot group) really needs to pay attention to keeping things together for those on property now. It sucks, but I think it's become reality. When it comes to open time you will still see guys try to pick it up. In the beginning it was beneficial to not pick it up so the company might see some staffing problems. But now the situation is getting to the point were each guy is fending for themselves. The current pilot group is now finding itself in a situation where they have to fight for the guys that are left on property. If they keep fighting to bring back furloughed guys lot's of stuff is going to be overlooked and more jobs will likely be lost as management finds a week spot.

Again, I don't agree with this, but this is what I have been noticing. Good luck to you guys!

Just selfish.

Trust me, I have bills to pay too and would want nothing more than an extra $200 from some extra flying, but a line must be drawn and we must stand firm. We are a stronger group if we act as one and set aside a few personal goals.

People complain about the weakness of the ALPA leadership. Well I worry about the integrity of its membership.

You're exactly right. From what I am seeing, the unity is being broken up and everyone is out for themselves now. Look at how many people are voting on union leadership. Some 40 something votes out of how many pilots. The Union can't even get volunteers right now.

Anyone else notice the latest announcement on TravelNet? Big D is giving each of THEIR employees two roundtrip positive-space vouchers to anywhere Delta flies. They have until 2012 to use them...

Hey RiddleEagle18...I tried to alleviate your situation by taking one of the alleged choice CVG tools off your hands for a few days. Everywhere I go, all's I get is, "OMG, you're flying with THAT guy!?" It's actually kind of fun and entertaining toying with him throughout the trip. Guess he gets a lot of sick calls when people find out they're paired with him. I 'love' getting coached throughout the LGA LIE 31 visual wearing 4 bars in the right seat :/

I realize that some of you guys are stil workin for them and are frustrated at the situation your in up in JFK, but believe me, be grateful you have a job at least. All Im sayin is think about all the guys that dont have a job right now that are struggling to stay afloat before you go saying that its better to be on the street than flying for Comair.

ps.....I have been looking for jobs outside of flying but where I live in MI the unemployment rate is 13+ percent and anything is tough to come buy.
I agree......being laid off sux, yeah unemployment and sitting around might be relaxing but it gets old after a month, no flight schools are hiring instructors no jobs out there I sent hundreds of resumes and apps out, I'm applying to jobs now that I applied to while in high school , all you folks with flying jobs enjoy it as bad as it is. YOU HAVE A JOB and look at what your doing your flying jets even though your getting paid like crap your still have steady pay and medical benefits!. I had my break now I'm ready to go back , as bad as it may still be at the regionals.

Telling some how they should feel, regardless of which side you are on, is rediculous.
