How many aircraft does comair own and not lease? Just Curious? I bet comair remains status quo, delta's pinch hitter, shrink and grow at will, a part time airline... Sounds like they maybe giving a little scope back to mainline, with the flow gone they have to reduce 76 seat lift at least thats what it sounds like, maybe management gave a little scope back in return they gain a small concession or something from DL mainline? Who knows, crazy industry, but a week ago if you told me Compass to Trans States I'd think you were nuts...

They already wrote off the cost of comair in the bankruptcy. :-(

Really, I thought they overvalued the hell out of OH in bankruptcy and that even helped with the hostile takeover attempt from USair

Hey, just going off what most of the guys at the ASA thread think; MOSTLY due to attrition for Viet Nam, attrition to mainline hiring, ridiculously short staffed, (not that OH doesn't have that problem).

The point is, this guy/gal shotguns crap as fact, and if some of it sticks on the wall, I ain't gonna' call it artwork! Comair's circling the bowl...wow...real sooth-sayer! ("If I was to go around calling myself Emporor, just because some moistened bindt lobbed a scimitar at me...")

I had this idiot blocked, but everyone kept quoting him/her.

Sorry, ya'll for the rant...just trying to make sense of this and how it affects my family without boners like trailblazer chiming in.

To the guys/gals that have been recalled... do you feel management has given you the "full scoop" on what's going down at Comair? Given what happened not more than 2 years ago, it's hard to believe Comair management would recall pilots into a "dead end" kind of scenario. Surely JB knows if the company is being sold from underneath him by Delta?!!? And Evilboy says strong rumors of recalls after the 7/4 holiday?!
