this is interesting. while my recall hopes are no where near up and i don't plan on putting down this frosty PBR, i do find it interesting that IF this (union/company/recall talk/Mesa bankruptcy) is true--- the company is being proactive about it all.

i wonder if mother D is sending some news down the pipeline to JB?

The only good news that could possibly come from Delta is that they've finally decided to put "our" lousy airline out of its misery.

All that VB is for, is to re-shift crew members back to CVG. Remember that they were going to shift a lot of our flying back there? That's all this is, all those guys were getting displaced to JFK..now they simply aren't.

We are never, ever getting recalled to this company.

I repeat, never.

Oh the good ol' Mesa trick... This reminds me of a old fable story written by Aesop. Ever hear of it? It's called "The boy who cried wolf."

How about the one called "call me back. I want my license."

This vacancy bid is NOT to reinstate displaced Captains back to Captains. As Andy stated, it’s just getting some FO’s back to CVG because. Delta decided to cut our flying out of JFK and give it to Shuttle America, so they send some of us back to CVG. It’s not good news by any means.

I would not worry about a Comair recall. Soon airlines like Eagle, TSA, RAH, SkyWest, ASA, and others will start hiring. It will not take 10 years to upgrade to a Captain. Forget about Comair recalling. Even if it happens, why would you want to be on reserve in a crash pad a JFK for the next 3 years and be an FO making less than $45,000 for the next 10 years?

To the guys that are starting recall rumors, please stop.

It seems that the furlough dates have been coinciding with lease returns. Also a major point is that "IF" Delta were to have Comair fill the void at CVG for Freedom, there's just no way Comair could do it all. Freedom is operating 22 aircraft out of here. We could fill in a little bit by utilizing the aircraft more and not have any spares. Might need a few pilots to return to beef up reserves. Of course this is all speculation and we know DCI's track record when it comes to Freedom flying or aircraft!

I agree. R. A. has shown a certain hostility to Comair. Delt is still cutting this airline, even if Mesa folds, the son of a - would give that flying to Mesaba. Remember when fast Freddy tried to give us those 900's, well we saw what happened there.
