Sounds like Bendo thinks that there is no need to pay your crews as low as Mesa, but that Comair's crew costs are still 15 to 20% higher than their competition.

I heard that he pretty much said he wasn't around during that bankruptcy, but that basically he was put in place to lower cost. So when asked about all of the money that the crews gave up during the bankruptcy and why that wasn't enough he said something about the settlement that followed which made it not really a big cost saving.

Delta is letting go of Shuttle America & CHQ as DCI carriers next month and Comair will pick-up the flying. Up to 110 recalls expected. Watch Epic next week for official announcement and new training & transfer schedule.

Conference Call Summary
Closure of concourse A, 25 Comair employees losing their jobs on top of Regional Elite
22 pilots recalled, not anticipating any other recalls for now
The outlook for the year looks steady, no drop in flying after the summer
Looking for more flying, but not much at this time
Will ask for concessions from pilots and flight attendants at contract negotiations to facilitate growth
We do not have to be the lowest paid crews, but we have to be in par with our peers
Considering a DTW base, will know by midsummer, decision will be based on the outcome of the Delta/US Airways slot swap at LGA, level of flying, and structure of flying
If flying is increase out of LGA, DTW, and LGA, will be able to construct more productive trips
Moving computer servers to MSP
No Flight attendant recalls at this time
PDA’s will be given to 700/900 Captains to help with Weight & Balance and lookup weather
No ACARS at this time, it cost too much
A new tenant might moving to the GO building to help share the cost
Electronic paystubs
Email change from Group Wise to Outlook in mid April
Improve self-service function
Lots a irrelevant flight attendant questions
