Woo-hoo, awesome, and Sierra Hotel!! Now our senior guys will finally take the flow-through they negotiated a few years ago...

I think "Candler" was a better call sign than "Acey", but maybe something like "SkySouth" would be more appropriate nowadays
Correct, ASA stands for Atlantic Southeast Airlines, however the rumor is they will get renamed to only Atlantic Southeast.

I have a feeling that SkyWest Inc./ASA is going to start their own branded operation!

"these rumors" about Comair flow-through stem from an offer on the table a few years back for a flow-through/flow-back with DAL. For whatever reason, not least of which I'm sure was the flow-back, Comair said thanks, but no thanks.

And I'm sure someone will chime in about not having all the facts, (i don't), but the result is still the same...the only wholly owned that doesn't have an option to flow-through with Delta announcing hiring.

...but then, you already knew that!

I remember that, and I am still scratching my head as to why this was never agreed upon. IIRC, there would have been options for people that didn't want to flow, so they wouldn't have to worry about being displace by a DL furloughee. I think some of the concern, misplaced as it was, was that DL was about to furlough thousands of pilots and OH pilots thought that that was the only reason they were amenable to such an arrangement. Seriously, does anyone think any pilot group would negotiate any such thing out of the goodness of their hearts?

How many more pilots could Comair recall without getting "new" aircraft anyway? Haven't they returned too much of the fleet to recall many more?

I hope the people that are getting called back are with another company and refuse. Once again, Comair will not be around much longer. If you are still working for Comair I wish you nothing but the best. Take my advice and start looking for another company to work for. I'm still not sure if your job will transfer to compass.

As most of you all know I made my escape from Comair in Feb of 08 to NWA. Now with DAL, I can easily tell you if you want to work at the new DAL you have zero chance, the DAL guys hate us/you. I hate telling the Real Delta guys I worked at CMR. You can thank JC Lawson for that, so, if you have a dream to come to DAL, I wouldn't bet a 2 buck pizza on it. So, for those of you that thought the strike was so great, you are an idiot. That was the dumbest thing ever. If I was not getting paid I would have crossed, it was worthless. And worse yet if you thought it was a great idea to black ball the DAL guys, have fun being a lifer at a dead company. It is reality not an opinon.
