Comair will be history! I just submitted my application to ASA, so I can fly the same plane and same routes for less pay again! Score!

 

Jumping on trailblazer bandwagon of ASA acquiring are planes.

I hope not but it seems there are really two thoughts.

1) ASA acquiring us

2) Same O Same O ASA not acquiring us

I dont know how this ASA thing got started but that would be ugly news for monday.

 

Let me guess - we're getting a new president and he wants the pilots to take concessions?

15 of our 700s are going to SkyWest and ASA?

12 Comair 900s are going to Pinnacle?

75 of our 50's are being sent to other regionals or to the desert?

60% of our flying is going to a new domicile with near-impossible chances to commute?

Our non-rev privileges are being reduced?

Our defined-benefit retirement plan is going away?

We're parking half the fleet?

Five other regionals are going to start flying former Comair routes out of CVG?

we're taking a 20% pay cut, which works out to be closer to 35% because half the pilots are going on reserve?

Delta is going to close down our concourse and we'll have to move to a smaller crew facility?

Subway is closing?

Our 401k company match is being reduced?

Our flight attendants need to clean the planes themselves?

Two of our perfectly competent pilots are going to take a perfectly good airplane off the end of a runway for no apparent reason?

The company will start ignoring our contractual hotel requirements?

We'll get 34-hour overnights in crummy little towns and 5-hour sits in the big cities where a Happy Meal at the airport costs $8?

Our min days off are being reduced?

The company will stop providing flashlight batteries?

Our crew rooms in BOS, MCO, and LGA are gone?

Our First Officers will have to wait until year 10 to upgrade?

Our 18-year Captains will have to go back on reserve?

The company will violate our workrules, extend us into our days off due to "Staffing" and we'll just have to "Grieve it?"

Our scheduling computer will crash on Christmas Eve and strand hundreds of crews and thousands of passengers for days?

They are going to take away our Christmas Ham Certificates?

That kind of bad news?

Because all of that has already happened.

So I hope your bad news is bad enough to nudge my "Dontgivadamn" meter off of zero.
